Quality control is a continuous process that takes place in several stages. Below we explain the measures we take before and during production, as well as throughout the logistics process.
All production facilities producing for PVO International are independently visited and audited annually. Our audits focus on assessing the entire production environment, including the use of and compliance with international ESG standards, the efficiency of processes, and the integrity of quality control systems. Using comprehensive inspection reports, potential risks are identified and addressed before production starts.
To ensure the highest quality standards, we work with a renowned auditing partner, Sinovoltaics. Their expertise enables us to use a unique scorecard system, in which every aspect of the production process is assessed. This detailed approach provides us and our partners with the assurance that each factory meets the strictest requirements and that the solar modules meet the highest standards.
At PVO International, all panels produced for PVO are individually tested. This unique process ensures that every panel coming out of these facilities meets the strictest quality standards. Where other parties work with sampling (random inspection), we check each panel individually as well to ensure defective products are excluded.
Before shipment, products are assessed to ensure they meet agreed quality standards. Visual inspections, electroluminescence (EL) tests and IV measurements are conducted, along with construction data compliance tests and detailed reporting of defects. These inspections ensure that each batch meets our strict requirements.
With Electroluminescence (EL) and specially developed AI software, all panels are checked again. By doing so we ensure that all defects, such as micro-cracks, are identified. These processes ensure that only panels of the highest quality leave the factory. Panels that do not meet our strict requirements are replaced immediately. Sampling is no longer sufficient for this purpose; we guarantee that every panel produced for PVO undergoes this test.
To ensure the solar modules arrive safely and in perfect condition at our partners’ premises, the packaging and loading process is carefully monitored. Third-party inspectors oversee the use of the best packaging methods and ensure safe supervision of container loading. This involves recording all loading data and carrying out precise checks to prevent transport damage and ensure safe arrival.
When solar panels are purchased on a project basis, PVO can offer 100% batch tracking. Batch tracking activities include a thorough inspection where the origin of raw materials for each solar panel is analysed and verified. The assessment is made by verifying raw material information such as serial numbers, purchase orders and supplier purchase contracts to ensure that only agreed raw materials are used throughout the supply chain from the right suppliers from approved regions. As part of this process, the origin of raw materials is carefully analysed and verified. In addition, our partners monitor compliance with material specifications (BOM/CDF) on a daily basis and deviations are reported immediately.
