With a shared vision for a greener future, PVO International and Tongwei Solar have successfully started a strategic collaboration in 2023. By partnering with Tongwei, PVO ensures access to top-tier solar panels for residential, C&I and Utility projects. One of Tongwei’s strengths is the dedication to production of low carbon, CFP-certified modules. In this blog, you can find everything you need to know about CFP modules and how Tongwei’s low-carbon product range can power up your solar projects.
CFP stands for “Carbon Footprint of Products’’. In France, All enterprises participating in photovoltaic module bidding projects in the French market must provide certification for “Simplified Carbon Emissions Assessment”, also known as the “Carbon Footprint” certification. During the carbon footprint certification process, the carbon emissions of the entire life cycle of photovoltaic module products are calculated by tracking materials, production, transportation, and emissions at all stages. French carbon footprint certification, issued by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), is highly recognized in the industry and is an essential certification for photovoltaic projects with a capacity of over 100 kWp to enter the French market.
Also outside of France, carbon footprint certification has become the “passport” for photovoltaic companies to enter the international high-end market. In recent years, with the acceleration of global energy transition, carbon footprint has become a key competitive advantage for exporting photovoltaic modules.
Tongwei’s module products successfully obtained the French Carbon Footprint CRE4 and PPE2 certifications. This certification marks Tongwei’s modules obtaining a “green pass” to enter the French photovoltaic market, while also offering a low- carbon solution for European projects. In order to gain this full certification under the CFP guidelines, Tongwei undertakes various stringent measures during the production process.
Throughout the life cycle of the module production, Tongwei leverages the advantages of the polysilicon-wafer-cell-module industrial chain to build a traceable low-carbon supply chain. This is done through deep vertical integration, achieving control over the carbon emissions of the product’s entire life cycle. From product design, raw material procurement, production, transportation to system application, Tongwei integrates sustainable development into every aspect. Hereby, Tongwei aims to reduce the carbon emissions of the product’s entire life cycle while practicing green and low-carbon principles, providing more efficient and higher-quality products.
Currently, N-type modules with core advantages of high efficiency, high-power generation, and cost-effectiveness have become mainstream products in the photovoltaic market. Tongwei has enhanced its module series through innovative research and development, achieving a balance of low-carbon emissions and high efficiency. These advancements have led to the successful acquisition of CRE4 and PPE2 certifications.
Among them, TWMNH-48HD and TWMND-72HD modules passed the CRE4 certification, as well as the PPE2 certification. The panels thus cover a wide range of market demands, suitable for household, commercial, and large-scale applications.
The TWMND-72HD modules are leading products developed based on TNC technology, characterized by higher power, higher returns, better design, and high reliability, perfectly meeting the needs of Europe’s low-carbon development. With many advantages, Tongwei’s N-type modules have quickly gained recognition in the global market.
Competitive carbon footprint products will become the key weapon for photovoltaic companies to enter the global market. On the road to carbon reduction, Tongwei is actively trying to stay ahead of this movement. Currently, Tongwei’s module products have already successfully passed simplified carbon assessment (ECS), life cycle assessment (LCA), ISO 14067 product carbon footprint certification, and other carbon footprint certifications.
The world is embracing a green transformation and the characteristics of green, low carbon, and economic efficiency have become important driving forces for the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry. In the future, Tongwei will continue to explore low-carbon development and contribute to global energy transition and green development.
Together with Tongwei, PVO can offer a suitable CFP-certified solution for every solar project. Interested in the possibilities? Our experts are happy to assist. Get in touch with your dedicated account manager today or contact us directly.
